Candidates aspiring to join any of the following:
programmes offered by institutes of Symbiosis International (Deemed University) have to appear for the common, mandatory Computer Based Test(s) (CBT). Since 2018, "SET - General" is known as Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) and "SET - Engineering" as SIT Engineering Entrance Exam (SITEEE). These are conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode across various cities of India.
SIU announces the four-year degree programme with multiple entry and exit options as envisioned in the NEP 2020*. The highlights of the new programme offerings are as under

A candidate needs to register for SET/SITEEE 2026 & also register for the institutes offering his/ her choice of programmes by paying separate programmes registration fees. If shortlisted / merit listed, he/she would then need to attend the further admission process conducted by each of these institutes individually.
Candidates are fully and solely responsible to provide correct information during the application process. If it is found that any information provided by the candidate at the time of filling / submitting the application form is not true, SIU has the right to cancel the application or admission, at any stage, in accordance with its rules and regulations. Any direct or indirect attempt to influence the management and employees of the Institute will lead to automatic disqualification of the candidate.

SET/ SITEEE 2026 will be conducted on two different dates. Candidates can appear for both the dates, i.e. May 02, 2026 (Saturday) and May 10, 2026 (Sunday).

A candidate can appear for upto two tests for SET and/or SITEEE 2026. If a candidate appears for more than one test, the higher score will be considered for the final percentile calculation. There will be no normalization. A rigorous process that has been statistically tested will be administered to ensure that unique types of questions are framed under a specific topic across the question papers. The normal spread will ensure that there is no unfair advantage to candidates who opt for any specific test / multiple tests. This will ensure the normalisation of the spread of questions across sections. Furthermore, the question papers will be normalised for the level of difficulty across all two tests. No correspondence regarding this will be entertained.
From 2018 onwards, "SET General" is known as Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) and "SET-Engineering" as SIT Engineering Entrance Exam (SITEEE).
The registration process is as follows:
Click on 'Register'.
Read all the Instructions carefully and then click on the 'Continue' button to accept the Terms and Conditions.
Fill in the details requested on the page displayed.
Click on 'Save and Continue'. An OTP will be sent to the mobile number and email id that you have entered.
Enter the 'OTP' and submit.
After successful registration, you will get an e-mail and SMS containing your SET/SITEEE ID and password. Use this SET/SITEEE ID for all communications regarding the SET/SITEEE 2026 entrance test / admission procedure.
Pay the SET/SITEEE entrance test registration fee of INR 2250 per test [government taxes would be additional as and when applicable] non-transferable and non-refundable as per the instructions mentioned on the Registration Portal.
In addition to that, you are also expected to pay the non-refundable and non-transferable programme registration fee of INR 1000/- (government taxes would be additional as and when applicable) for each programme that you wish to apply for.
Please note that payment of only the SET/SITEEE entrance test registration fee will not make you eligible for shortlisting/Meritlisting in any programme, regardless of your SET/SITEEE score. Both fees must be paid as per the instructions provided on the registration portal. Failure to pay the programme registration fee will result in your application not being considered for that programme. No communication will be entertained in this regard.
If you have any queries, please log in to your SET/SITEEE ID and click on "Raise A Query" and generate a ticket. Generating a ticket is essential to resolve your query.
The modes of payment for the programme(s) registration fee is same as that for SET/SITEEE.

In compliance to Government directives on disability guidelines issued by the office of the Chief Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities vide Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, New Delhi notification no. 16-18/97 dated 01st June 2001 and University Grants Commission Notification No. F.6-1/2006 (CPP-II/SCT) dated 30/09/2009, SIU has made provision of reserving 3% seats for Persons with Disabilities (PwD)candidates in all the programmes offered by all the Institutes of SIU.
The types of disabilities covered are: -
*Persons with Disabilities (PwD) candidate means a candidate having any of the disabilities in accordance with the Persons with Disabilities Act – 1995 and as per revised Gazette of India Registered no: DL – (N)04/0007/2003-16 dated December 28, 2016.
Process to be followed for Persons with Disabilities (PwD):Note: If a candidate selects a Persons with Disabilities (PwD) in the Registration form and s/he requires scribe/writer facility please note SIU will not be providing scribe/writer. The candidate has to make her/his own arrangement for scribe/writer. The qualification of scribe/writer should be a maximum 9th standard candidate or a maximum 9th standard passed candidate (Or Appearing 10th Standard). The scribe should not have completed studies beyond the 9th standard. Candidate should send the request to info@set-test.org on or before April 15, 2026 (Wednesday) in case scribe/writer is required.
As per SIU norms, a Persons with Disabilities (PwD) is provided with 20 minutes of compensatory time for every 60 minutes of test.
In accordance with Clause A of Schedule C of the Lease Deed signed between Nagpur Municipal Corporation, Nagpur and Symbiosis, Pune on 4th September, 2017, the University has reserved 25% seats against the approved intake in each programme offered at the Off-campus Centre of the University at Nagpur for Nagpur Domiciled candidates.
The definition for Nagpur Domicile is:'Nagpur Domiciled' means candidates, who are domiciled in Nagpur for a period of 5(five) years as on the date of commencement of the academic year and who (a) are or will be graduates or students of Nagpur University, and/ or (b) are recipients of school certificates from the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, the Council of Indian School Certificate Examinations, and/ or the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)/ ICSE Board.
