Prerequisite

The candidate should be ready with a soft copy of her/his recent passport size colour photo (not more than six months old) in .jpg, .jpeg, .png or .gif formats, with a size between 10 KB to 5 MB to be uploaded to her/his registration form.

    programmes offered by institutes of Symbiosis International (Deemed University) have to appear for the common, mandatory Computer Based Test(s) (CBT). Since 2018, "SET - General" is known as Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) and "SET - Engineering" as SIT Engineering Entrance Exam (SITEEE). These are conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode across various cities of India.

    SIU announces the four-year degree programme with multiple entry and exit options as envisioned in the NEP 2020*. The highlights of the new programme offerings are as under

    • The Programme framework allows exciting options to pursue single major, double majors, minors, opportunity to pursue multidisciplinary, Ability and Skill enhancement courses.
    • Offers a good blend of immersive learning, research and community engagement
    • Includes opportunities for semester exchange programmes with foreign universities
    • Offers the following exit options
      1. A Certificate at the end of the first year of the programme with 44 credits
      2. A Diploma at the end of the first two years of the programme with 84 credits
      3. A UG Degree at the end of 3 years of the programme with 120 credits
      4. A UG Degree with Honours / Research at the end of the 4 years of the programme with 160 credits
    • Offers option of Re-entry within 3 years of exit and 7 years as the maximum permissible period to complete the programme.

    * Not applicable for programmes under SITEEE.

    A candidate needs to register for SET/SITEEE 2026 & also register for the institutes offering his/ her choice of programmes by paying separate programmes registration fees. If shortlisted / merit listed, he/she would then need to attend the further admission process conducted by each of these institutes individually.

    Candidates are fully and solely responsible to provide correct information during the application process. If it is found that any information provided by the candidate at the time of filling / submitting the application form is not true, SIU has the right to cancel the application or admission, at any stage, in accordance with its rules and regulations. Any direct or indirect attempt to influence the management and employees of the Institute will lead to automatic disqualification of the candidate.

    All communication with candidates will be done through the official email address (info@set-test.org and no-reply@set-test.org only. Please ensure that this email address is whitelisted in your registered email. If you do not receive the registration/payment confirmation mail, within 24 hours, please check your spam/junk folder just in case these emails got delivered there instead of your inbox.

    A candidate can complete the SET/SITEEE as well as programme/s registration and payment on the same portal (set-test.org)

    A candidate can appear for upto two tests for SET and/or SITEEE 2026. If a candidate appears for more than one test, the higher score will be considered for the final percentile calculation. There will be no normalization. A rigorous process that has been statistically tested will be administered to ensure that unique types of questions are framed under a specific topic across the question papers. The normal spread will ensure that there is no unfair advantage to candidates who opt for any specific test / multiple tests. This will ensure the normalisation of the spread of questions across sections. Furthermore, the question papers will be normalised for the level of difficulty across all two tests. No correspondence regarding this will be entertained.

    From 2018 onwards, "SET General" is known as Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) and "SET-Engineering" as SIT Engineering Entrance Exam (SITEEE).

    The registration process is as follows:

    1. Click on 'Register'.

    2. Read all the Instructions carefully and then click on the 'Continue' button to accept the Terms and Conditions.

    3. Fill in the details requested on the page displayed.

    4. Click on 'Save and Continue'. An OTP will be sent to the mobile number and email id that you have entered.

    5. Enter the 'OTP' and submit.

    6. After successful registration, you will get an e-mail and SMS containing your SET/SITEEE ID and password. Use this SET/SITEEE ID for all communications regarding the SET/SITEEE 2026 entrance test / admission procedure.

    7. Pay the SET/SITEEE entrance test registration fee of INR 2250 per test [government taxes would be additional as and when applicable] non-transferable and non-refundable as per the instructions mentioned on the Registration Portal.

    8. In addition to that, you are also expected to pay the non-refundable and non-transferable programme registration fee of INR 1000/- (government taxes would be additional as and when applicable) for each programme that you wish to apply for.

    9. Please note that payment of only the SET/SITEEE entrance test registration fee will not make you eligible for shortlisting/Meritlisting in any programme, regardless of your SET/SITEEE score. Both fees must be paid as per the instructions provided on the registration portal. Failure to pay the programme registration fee will result in your application not being considered for that programme. No communication will be entertained in this regard.

    10. If you have any queries, please log in to your SET/SITEEE ID and click on "Raise A Query" and generate a ticket. Generating a ticket is essential to resolve your query.

    11. The modes of payment for the programme(s) registration fee is same as that for SET/SITEEE.

    12. Candidate must declare and maintain a valid and unique email account and a mobile phone number throughout the admission process.

    13. A candidate is required to fill in the correct information in the online registration form which corresponds to her/his credentials.

    14. Register online on the website www.set-test.org (upto April 15, 2026 (Wednesday).
      Note: No changes shall be permitted after the registration under any circumstances.

    15. A candidate can appear for SET/SITEEE on both the dates May 02, 2026 (Saturday) and May 10, 2026 (Sunday). If a candidate appears for more than one test, the higher score will be considered for the final percentile calculation.

    16. Please also note that if any information provided by a candidate is found to be incorrect, the University shall have right to cancel the candidature of that candidate.

Payment Instructions

NOTE: SET/SITEEE Test registration fee and programme registration fee of the Institute is non-refundable and non-transferable.

  • You can pay the SET/SITEEE registration amount till the end of registration process.
  • For SET/SITEEE, the payment process ends on April 15, 2026 (Wednesday) and registration fee is INR 2250 per test.
  • The entrance test registration fee for SET/SITEEE is INR 2250/- per test. (Nonrefundable and non-transferable).
  • In addition to that you are also expected to pay the programme registration fee of INR 1000/- for each programme that you wish to apply for. (Non-refundable and non-transferable)
  • For each test that you wish to appear for (SET/SITEEE), you are required to pay the entrance test registration fee of INR 2250/- per test.

    Get a demand draft from any Nationalized Bank in favour of "Symbiosis Test Secretariat" payable at Pune.

    Note: The DD should reach Symbiosis Test Secretariat (STS) by 3:00 pm on April 15, 2026 (Wednesday). If the DD reaches after this, it will not be considered and will be returned to the candidate. STS will not be responsible for non-delivery or any delay on the part of courier / postal services.

    Choose the mode of Payment as 'DD Payment' in ‘Make Payment’ Tab. Take a print of the payment advice form, fill in the DD Details, sign and send it along with the DD to the Symbiosis Test Secretariat only at,

    As per your choice you can Submit a Demand Draft (DD) from any Nationalized Bank in favour of "Symbiosis Test Secretariat" payable at Pune.

    The Symbiosis Test Secretariat (STS) will authenticate the details of the Demand Draft and will send you an email confirming the payment. Only after the realisation of payment, would you be able to view your Admit Card.

    Important Instructions regarding Admit Card

        1. The SET/SITEEE Test Admit Card must be downloaded and printed from the official SET website [www.set-test.org]. Admit Cards will be available from April 24, 2026 (Friday) for SET/SITEEE Test 01 and from April 30, 2026 (Thursday) for SET/SITEEE Test 02. Black and white printouts will not be accepted.
        2. If candidate has selected multiple tests, (s)he should carry separate Admit Cards for each test.
        3. SET-May 02, 2026 (Saturday) and May 10, 2026 (Sunday) 09.00 am to 10.00 am. Please ensure that you arrive at your assigned Test Centre latest by 07.30 AM and occupy your assigned seat latest by 08.30 AM.
        4. SITEEE - May 02, 2026 (Saturday) and May 10, 2026 (Sunday) 11.30 am to 12.30 pm. Please ensure that you arrive at your assigned Test Centre latest by 10.00 AM and occupy your assigned seat latest by 11.00 AM.
        5. Please ensure that your latest passport size, colour photograph is pasted on the Admit Card at the place provided for before appearing for the test (Your photograph should not be more than six months old).
        6. Admit Card along with Original Photo Identity proof should be carried to the Test Centre at the time of the test. An acceptable photo identity is any one of the following:
          • Passport.
          • Driving license.
          • Voter ID Card.
          • Pan Card
          • AADHAR Card (UID)
          • College ID Card
          Note: Soft copy of identity proof will not be accepted.
        7. An authorized person will verify and authenticate your Admit Card against the photo-id on the day of the test. Please preserve this authenticated Admit Card for further PI processes.
        8. Candidates should note that an authenticated Admit Card is an important document without which the candidate will not be permitted to appear for further admission processes of SIU. If the Authenticated Admit card is lost, a duplicate Authenticated Admit Card will not be issued. It should be retained till the admission process is over.
        9. Cell phones, calculators, watch calculators, alarm clocks, digital watches with built-in calculators/memory, or any electronic gadgets-including smart devices such as smartwatches, fitness bands, Meta Glass, or similar wearable technology-will not be allowed in the test hall.
        10. Candidates will not be allowed to leave the test hall till the test is completed. After submission of the test, candidate will not be allowed to re-enter the test hall.
        11. Candidates are advised to locate allocated test Centre at least a day in advance to avoid any issue on the day of the test. Candidates who reach the test centre late due to any reason, will not be allowed to enter the same under any circumstances after the gates are closed.
        12. Travel and staying (if applicable) arrangements will need to be done by the candidate.
        13. Utmost care is taken to prepare an error free question paper. However, if an error is detected in the question paper, the Scrutiny Committee shall take an appropriate decision after the test, which shall be final.
        14. The scores published by the SIU shall be final and shall not be subject to any appeal or revaluation.
        15. Persons with Disabilities (PwD) / Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribes / Kashmiri Migrants and Kashmiri Pandits/Kashmiri Hindu Families (Non-Migrants) living in Kashmiri Valley category candidates are requested to upload their relevant document (s) while registering for the SET/SITEEE. Candidates failing to do this will be considered under the Open Category.
        16. Any attempt to impersonate or indulge in any malpractice, identified at any stage of the admission process would disqualify the candidate from the admission processes to all undergraduate programmes of Symbiosis International (Deemed University) and may also lead to appropriate legal action as deemed fit.
        17. If it is discovered that you have consumed any prohibited substances, entry to the test center will be denied.
        18. Engaging in any form of malpractice or unfair means will lead to immediate disqualification from the SIU admission process. Providing false information or breaching the prescribed procedures at any stage will result in cancellation of the candidature and disqualification from all future SIU entrance tests. If such misconduct is identified after admission or during the course of study, the disqualification will be enforced retrospectively. Furthermore, tampering with the registration form, admit card, or scorecard, or submitting incorrect information, will be considered a serious offense. In such cases, SIU reserves the right to cancel the candidature and take legal action in accordance with applicable laws.
